The atmosphere is simply cool, with good food options, but my favorite has to be the mixed green salad. Yay!

Their place is beautiful and relaxing, with trees around and a lake visible at the back. As soon as you enter their coffee shop, you’ll be greeted by the staff. Service crew are approachable,serving me good coffee .

We have tried 2 kinds of cake and it was lami. The viewdeck could have been amazing if we came in earlier. The staff, ran by the family is very welcoming and hospitable. There is definitely a potential that this will become a new favorite. Tip: come at 5pm/sunset When I get to try the other food/drinks, will surely update this review. Verdict: A must try!

Tucked away in Taguanao, Cagayan de Oro, Hulak Cafe is a hidden gem that feels less like a typical coffee shop and more like a warm, inviting escape. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a welcoming atmosphere that’s all about good vibes and relaxation. ​The interior of Hulak Cafe has a light, airy feel that instantly puts you at ease. While the space is on the smaller side, this isn't a drawback, it's part of its charm. The cozy layout encourages a sense of intimacy, making it the perfect spot for genuine conversations and connecting with the people you’re with. It feels less like a public space and more like a private nook where you can truly unwind and enjoy each other’s company. The food at Hulak Cafe is nothing short of extraordinary. The menu is a playground of flavors, and everything we ordered was a solid 10/10. ​The Pan-Seared Salmon was the star of the show. While it was the most expensive dish on the menu, every bite was worth it. The salmon was perfectly cooked, tender, and incredibly flavorful, easily the best I’ve ever had. ​The Lemon-Glazed Chicken was a delightful surprise. Even for someone who isn't a fan of lemons, the balance of sweet and tangy flavors was exciting and made for a fun, memorable dish. ​And the pasta? Absolutely divine. We tried the Chicken Carbonara, a Penne pasta (I forgt the name), and the Aglio Olio, which we requested to be extra spicy. Each one tasted like it came straight from heaven. The portions were just right, enough to leave you feeling completely satisfied without being overwhelming. ​We couldn’t leave without trying their drinks. The Matcha Latte, Spanish Latte, and Dirty Matcha were all so good that they made a non-coffee lover like me want more. They have a way of crafting drinks that are both delicious and balanced. To top it all off, the service was fantastic. The staff was efficient and friendly, getting all of our orders to our table in less than 20 minutes. Their speed and attentiveness made the entire experience even more enjoyable. ​Hulak Cafe is more than just a place to grab a meal; it's an experience that nourishes both the soul and the stomach. It’s a testament to the idea that great things come in small packages. With its cozy ambiance, phenomenal food, and amazing staff, this cafe easily earns a full 5 out of 5 stars. It’s a place you’ll want to visit again and again. I was not able to take picture of the food but I tell you, they're worth a try!

Great food, cozy atmosphere, and a clean, relaxing place to dine. Staff were friendly and approachable. Definitely a 5-star experience — will be coming back!
